Action Generation Service Projects

Literacy Fair with the City of San Antonio
Volunteers will be providing free books and promoting resources like the local library, GED classes, and citizenship preparation to local residents.

Graffiti Wipeout with the City of San Antonio
The 5th Annual Graffiti Wipeout is a city-wide initiative to keep our streets beautiful. Volunteers will paint over graffiti in assigned locations in the downtown area.

Milam Park Clean-up with the City of San Antonio
Volunteers will clean up Milam Park! Multiple projects will take place including painting, planting, clean-up and more!

Hemisphere Park Clean-up with the City of San Antonio
Volunteers will clean up Hemisphere Park! Multiple projects will take place including painting, planting, clean-up and more!

Habitat Re-Store with Habitat for Humanity
Volunteers will help organize, clean, price, paint and build sawhorses and walls for the re-store which provides low-cost building and housing materials to the community.

Dia de Los Muertos with SA Missions National Historical Park
Volunteers will be preparing a total of 3,000 craft activities. Crafts will include preparing Marigolds, papel picado, and paper puppets. Crafts will be used during the park's Dia De Los Muertos events to assist with explaining the history behind Day of the Dead, its symbols and the relevance it holds in our communities today.

Archeology Day with SA Missions National Historical Park
Volunteers will prepare arts and craft activities for Archeology Day at the park. Crafts will include preparing make-and-take projects, collecting palm fronds for mask making activities, updating the mask demo cart, and preparing tiles for wall art activity preparation. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, work gloves, and long pants since they will be cutting fronds from palm trees.

Food Box Assembly with The San Antonio Food Bank
Volunteers will provide quality control in the receiving, sorting, boxing and moving of food and non-edible donations coming to the San Antonio Food Bank.
